It's been 5+ years since I've written a single paragraph of anything. I feel like I owe apologies to anyone who ever bothered to read my work. I recently began receiving actual treatment for my mental illness, and I've begun to hope I could write again. I first began writing Mudd while I was in my teens. I'm nearing 30 now. It's gone through so many changes and revamps. I'm hoping this is the final one. When I first wrote Mudd, I was just getting into writing fanfiction. And let's face it, if you were going to write Detective Conan with an OC, your character had to also be a detective, right? Or a wimpy love interest? It felt like the only way to get anyone to be interested in your story, invested in your character. They had to be able to keep up and/or rival the main characters of the series. It was also the only way to keep the interest of the characters right? Hattori, Shinichi, Kaito...they wouldn't be interested or want to be friends with a new character unless they were similar
